Job Description
Assists in directing the production, distribution, quality control, and marketing operations for the location or assigned territory of Heartland Co-op by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees as directed by the supervising Location Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Within parameters set by the supervising Location Manager, assist with the following:
- Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by Heartland Co-op and Regional Manager.
- Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area.
- Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
- Reviews expenses and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance the profitable operation of the location.
- Reviews operations and directs sales programs to develop income and new markets.
- Location leadership of grain quality, inventory control, and safety compliance initiatives.
- Directs preparation of accounting records (sales, inventory, prepay, and expenses) for the location.
- Recommends budgets to management.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
- Fills responsibility role and function of location manager during site Location Manager’s absence.
- Other duties may be assigned.
