RESPONSIBILITIESmay include, but not limited to, the following: • Operate spraying and spreading equipment properly and in accordance with delivery tickets. • Mix fertilizer and chemicals properly to ensure quality standards and accuracy. • Handle and deliver product as assigned. • Report inventory supply needs, overstocks and billing corrections to supervisor and office promptly. • Submit all application records, product deliveries, potential problems, new business opportunities across all departments of UFC and other conditions promptly. • Ensure all invoicing can be done accurately with the information you have applied and delivered. • Maintain equipment and recommend replacement or repairs when necessary • Maintain fertilizer and chemical warehouses and report repairs, unsafe equipment or working conditions to your supervisor. • Maintain a certified applicator license. • Assist in loading and unloading company and customer vehicles with product based upon work order or customer tickets. • Follow all UFC safety policies and procedures. • Ensure customers are informed of safe product handling. • Ensure facilities and equipment meet federal, state and OSHA regulations. • Uphold all UFC’s policies and perform other duties as assigned by management. • Assist in keeping all inside and outside work areas clean and orderly. • Assist with measure and counting of inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, NH3, lime and chemicals. • Travel and work in assigned area, with occasional regional travel required. • Work with the cooperative team to facilitate excellent customer service across multiple locations • Assist with entering into software systems, dispatching, mixing, loading and delivering agronomy orders.
QUALIFICATIONS• 1-3 years job related work experience in sprayer and spreader operations. • Valid Commercial Applicators License preferred or willing to obtain. • Demonstrate strong customer service skills. • Strong basic understanding of agronomy technical knowledge • Valid Class A CDL: with required endorsements or the ability to obtain and a clean driving record. • Strong work ethic with the ability/ experience in balancing the agricultural working time needs and personal life • Proven self-starter with the ability to learn cooperative guidelines and vision for growth. • Ability to work with software programs that interface with others for proper tracing of product. • Willing to continue to learn and ability to adapt to ever-changing agricultural technology.

Responsible for efficient and accurate fertilizer, pesticide and fungicide applications and performance of functions that will include maintenance of equipment, plant, rolling stock, operations of forklifts, loaders, tender trucks, and other duties as required.
