Please join us in Ames, IA for the 72nd Annual Iowa Institute for Cooperatives' Annual Meeting. We begin the day with a review and discussion of our policy resolutions, followed by keynote speaker Jim Olson, former Chief of Soviet Operations at the CIA. After lunch we will hold our annual business meeting and induct Dave Leiting and John T. Ward into the Iowa Cooperative Hall of Fame. The afternoon sessions include presentations on Iowa's electric grid, autonomous technology in ag, transportation challenges in ag and a 2023 economic update. We are excited to announce that will be hosting the 2022 Credit Workshop on December 6! This workshop is aimed at cooperative staff and industry professionals involved in managing credit. The agenda includes: ·     Brown Winick  Legal perspective credit and collections It is crucial to have a good grasp of all of these should your cooperative ever end up on the wrong side of a transaction. You will be provided an in depth look from the credit side and help you think about your credit process. ·     Roundtable Discussion Open discussion among peers to share best practices, lessons learned, and more. ·     Farm Credit Services Jim Knuth will provide us a status update on the current status of credit in Agriculture and will take us through some trends Farm Credit Services is seeing in their members to help provide you with a perspective on the farmer. ·     Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation, ISU The impact of 'Quality Feeds' case (See ISU CALT article) Kitt Tovar Jensen, will provide us an update on the ongoing ‘Quality Feeds’ case, and share insight on impacts the ruling on this case might have on the industry. We will be holding a single day session of DCP in Sheldon on January 4th.  Phase II is on the schedule for this time.  In this phase, we discuss strategic thinking, why it is so critical to your success and the director’s role in this process. In is not necessary to attend the DCP program in order.  All sessions are independent of the others. Click here for registration materials.

AGP's 2022 Annual Meeting will take place January 19 - 20, 2023 at the La Vista Convention Center in La Vista, NE.

Phase I and II will be held in Storm Lake on January 24th and 25th. This annual meeting will be held in Ankeny at the Courtyard by Marriott.  During the morning session we will hear from speakers, on current cooperative business issues.  The afternoon session is where the participants drive the conversation and listen and learn from your peers about serving in this leadership role for your Board of Directors.
