2022 DCP – Phase I History of Co-ops, Board Legal Responsibilities

DCP is an overview of the critical roles, responsibilities and skill requirements needed to become an effective, contributing board member.  It is especially valuable to newly elected directors or associate board members, although all directors benefit from the information.

Phase I – This phase begins with an overview of co-op purposes and practices and the cooperative business structure.

  • Overview of Iowa Cooperative Code
  • Legal Responsibilities of Cooperative Directors
